Metering Head:
Scheugenpflug produces metering heads for single metering, for one component and two components systems. In two component systems, the resin and hardener mix and react only in the disposable static mixing nozzle. There is no mixing process in the metering head, thus no reactive material inside the dispense technology. The exact metering is realized through the metering pistons one piston for each component. The diameter of the pistons define the mixing ratio absolutely exact and reproducible. Each piston features an inlet valve, an outlet valve and a cylinder tube.
Absolute stable mixing ratio:
Even at the dispensing start and end, from the first to the last shot.
The pistons are not mechanically driven, but only pushed through the material feeding pressure, the positions of the pistons being monitored. The exact metering of the both components is finally reached through the simultaneous movement of both metering pistons by a central piston guide.
It is possible also to heat up the metering head to optimize the flow characteristics of the material.
Best suitable for automation:
The compact precision metering head DKM consists of a combination of driving unit and a metering element (resin containing part). The design gives the possibility for a quick exchange of metering element in case of resin change or maintenance work.
Beyond that, the metering elements can be adapted for one or two component materials.
The change of the mixing ratio is realized through the exchange of the metering cylinders and the pistons.
